How to permanently delete a facebook message or conversation.

Few days ago my friend ran into a serious problem with his fiancée because of his facebook conversations. According to him, he thought that he deleted some of his illegal facebook messages/conversation without knowing that he only archived these messages.

When he gave his girl friend access to his facebook account, the girl was able to unarchive these messages, and the outcome of this incident has not been funny.
Today, I will be showing you how you can permanently delete a facebook message/conversation.  To delete one or more messages from a conversation:

  • Click Messages on the left side of your homepage
  • Open the conversation you want to delete a message from
  • From the Actions menu, select Delete Messages.
  • Use the check-boxes to select the messages you want to delete
  • Click Delete
You can delete an entire conversation by clicking Delete Conversation.. from the Actions menu.
Keep in mind, once you delete your copy of this conversation, this action can't be undone. If for any reason you don't wish to permanently delete these messages/conversations, you can decide to archive the messages/conversations.
In upcoming post, I will show you how you can archive a message/conversation
Note: Deleting a message or conversation from your inbox won't delete it from your friend's inbox. It isn't possible to delete sent or received messages from a friend's inbox.

Have you done it?, Did it work for you?, Do you have any suggestion or question?, Do you have any other method to permanently delete a facebook message? ..... Please let us know about it via the comment box.
